Did VC invent the Neckie?

The original idea wasn't ours, but the Neckie name is!

In 2015, several customers asked us if we made custom Buffs, which weren't being offered anywhere in the ultiverse yet. We looked at the product and thought it was indeed perfect for training and playing in, so we began making samples. 

After perfecting the style over multiple iterations, we applied our most popular sublimated jersey designs to this new tubular shape.

But What Do We Call It? 

We obviously couldn't call it a "buff" as it is a trademarked name by the most popular producer of the product out there, Buff. 

I wish we could say that the name emerged from an epic brainstorming session occurring at the top of a mountain, but to be honest - it was simply the first name on our list!

It's pretty exhilarating to know that we came up with the name our competitors also use. It's like Kleenex! After years of educating our community about our awesome Revolution hoodies (aka "Sun" hoodies or "Daywalkers"), we've made our mark and we're proud.

The Neckie Was Born

Neckies didn't gain popularity overnight. At tournaments, we struggled to display them effectively, and people often weren't sure as to what they were. We conceived signage to showcase them properly and help you realize what a versatile and essential piece of apparel they are for your field bag.

Go Premium or Go Home

We played with the construction of our Neckie for a few years, sacrificing quality for cost in order to offer them at a lower price at events. However we decided that quality needed to be above all else, and we're proud to have the nicest Neckie on the market.
