Portland Rising is the first womxn’s pro team in any sport in the history of the state of Maine. Rising is committed to building and highlighting our incredible community in Portland, Maine, and throughout the Northeast. We value every individual - athlete, fan, staff, and partner - for what they bring to this program.
Why Rising? Maine is the first place in the country to see the sunrise. Portland is rising as a travel destination as well as an extraordinary place to live and work. Womxn are rising in sports and in leadership, both here and around the globe. And the history of ultimate in Maine is closely tide to the ocean.
Portland Rising’s mission is to showcase womxn performing at the highest level, to inspire greatness, and to create a world-class sports experience here in Maine. We are grateful but we are not satisfied. It’s time to RISE.
