Planet Earth’s favourite jersey is celebrating its first birthday!

We realize claiming 'Planet's Earth's favourite jersey' as our own may be a bold statement; please allow us to explain. We have redeveloped our signature FlexLight material to be made of 100% post-consumer recycled polyester, as outlined in the Global Recycled Standards (version 4.0). 

What does this mean?

Since March 2019, all VC sublimated apparel made in Canada from FlexLight (i.e. custom team jerseys, shorts, and tanks) has been created from this new greener material. And new for 2020: our European-made apparel is now made from recycled fabric too! We're sure you haven't been able to feel any difference: this new material has the same weight, feel and amazing performance characteristics that you’ve come to love in our regular FlexLight.

Here's a photo of the sample recycled jersey we designed. Looks exactly as before!

You might notice that the fabric is slightly shinier, colours are more vibrant, and occasionally a few tiny woven specs appear. This is an unavoidable characteristic of the recycled fabric and, to be honest – not very noticeable.

The only real change is that our new fabric is greener – and therefore better! The only true visible difference is a VC rubber label featuring a green highlight (orders made in Canada) or a green VC woven label (orders made in Europe).
