Timeline Expectations & CUC Order Dates
Here's what you need to know to get your gear on time!
Time is money. We know we’ve broken a very serious copywriting rule by implementing a cliché in our writing, but in this case, it fits perfectly.
In our line of work, timelines are a top priority. After reading through your constructive feedback on our recent customer survey, failure to meet an established timeline ranks among the top reasons customers become frustrated.
In the end, it’s just simple math:
Timeline Transparency + Punctuality = Happy Customers
If you're happy, we're happy!
So, in order to be as transparent as possible, here are the standard timelines you can expect from us this summer. We are continuously striving towards perfection in hitting deadlines and we will continue working hard to achieve it.
- Sublimation: 5 weeks plus shipping.
- This allows for order processing, receiving, and quality control.
- Screen printed/spot sublimated merch:
- In stock at our office: 2.5 weeks plus shipping.
- Custom: 5 weeks plus shipping.
- Embroidered Hats: 3 weeks plus shipping
- This allows for order processing, receiving, and quality control.
It's important to note that every job is different and complicated; mistakes do happen and can cause delays. Every VC jersey is worked on by 14 different people* and, despite every one of those 14 team members caring about your order immensely, drops can happen. We've all been there on the field, right? However, it's even more important that you know we will fix our mistakes—every time—and we'll do our best to keep you posted along the way.
Note: Creating a team stores will usually add up to 1 week to your order to ensure your offering is 100% set, the web mockups for all your products are created, and the online store is set up.
TIPS TO HELP ORDER PROCESSING TIMES
- Start your artwork early. Art/design time is not included in these timelines; we can't really start any production until that's finalized.
- Collect your team's sizing/numbers/names information early. Set a deadline a few days BEFORE you plan to confirm your order and don't accept changes after.
- Leave yourself a buffer. If you're leaving your ordering until the very last possible day, there's risk in that. What happens if there's a thunderstorm and a power failure? Taking responsibility for your own timeline, being prepared early, and adding a buffer is a genius move.
WHY ARE CHANGES SUCH A BIG DEAL?
Changes are bad for two reasons: a) they increase the chance of errors and b) they cause delays in both production and our other orders as it takes the VC team about an hour to ensure any change (yes, even a "make my medium jersey a large") happens properly. The less time we are spending changing orders, the better we can serve both you and our other customers.
