DETROIT RIVETERS GEAR ON SALE IN THE STORE!
On March 27th, 2018, Michigan became home to another professional women's team, the Detroit Riveters. As a team, the Riveters are committed to contributing to the gender equity movement in Ultimate. Molly Barlow, one of the team's captains, says she sees a "future with equal opportunities for all to play the highest level of ultimate, regardless of race, gender, or socioeconomic status."
As the team's apparel sponsor, we want to support the Riveters as best we can, and that means we've created some awesome gear for the team, which you can find in their online store.
One of our favourite pieces of Riveters swag has to be the fully-sublimated performance headband based off Rosie's, the cultural icon from World War II who still now represents feminist activism and women's economic power. Although small, this headband symbolizes everything we believe in at VC.
